everyone loves music, and people love to play. hudson porchfest is an event for everyone to bring their
sound to the public ear. performers from 7-70 yrs. old will perform their music on porches throughout this
idyllic little town. hudson porchfest is a free event, run by volunteers along with talented artists who offer their music at no cost and our generous townspeople who share their porches; it's a cultural collective for charity.
hudson is a community of residents and businesses who share a vision of good living. the town is full of
music all year, and porchfest is proud to be part of this culture.
hudson porchfest was formed in 2017; inspired by forerunners in NDG, Vankleek Hill, and Ithaca, NY.
our neighbours came together and our porchfest was born!
New Orleans and Nashville prove that kids who hear good music in the street are likelier to play
sweet riffs themselves. porchfest is here to inspire anybody to get up and play like they mean it!
we are an all-volunteer organization, we bring together talent and energy - hundreds of people strong. our
mission is to create a big day of music for our town and for the benefit of some who need help. there are
donation boxes at each stage to support our charities. 100% of the profit from your kind contributions goes to the charities listed below.
come to hudson on sept 10 and check out porchfest for yourself, you’ll see why everybody digs it!

Le Pont Bridging:
Le Pont Bridging was started in 1996 by Carol Laws when a local Hudson family's father lost his job and needed help to feed his family of five, over a 6 week period. Since there wasn't a local area food bank at that time, Carol helped out and thus created Le Pont Bridging food bank. Last year we made 354 deliveries to feed 733 people.
UNHCR
UNHCR leads international action to protect people forced to flee conflict and persecution and those denied a nationality.
Safeguarding the rights and well-being of people forced to flee for over 70 years
UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is a global organization dedicated to saving lives, protecting rights and building a better future for people forced to flee their homes because of conflict and persecution.
We lead international action to protect refugees, forcibly displaced communities and stateless people.
Our vision is a world where every person forced to flee can build a better future.
Formally known as the Office of the High Commissioner for Refugees, UNHCR was established by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 1950 in the aftermath of the Second World War to help the millions of people who had lost their homes.
Today, UNHCR works in 135 countries. We provide life-saving assistance, including shelter, food, water and medical care for people forced to flee conflict and persecution, many of whom have nobody left to turn to. We defend their right to reach safety and help them find a place to call home so they can rebuild their lives. Long term, we work with countries to improve and monitor refugee and asylum laws and policies, ensuring human rights are upheld.
In everything we do UNHCR considers refugees and those forced to flee as partners, putting those most affected at the centre of planning and decision-making.
